Sigrid Undset (1882-1949) was a Norwegian writer and novelist born in Denmark. Her family later settled in Norway, and she moved to the United States in 1924 to escape Nazism. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1940 and was renowned for her writings on Scandinavian lifestyles. Her novel "Madam Marta Oulie" caused a great stir upon its release and was initially rejected by publishers. However, it eventually found its way to publication after much struggle, then succeeded and quickly spread among readers because it tackled a taboo subject that was not to be discussed in Norway at the time. The author draws the reader into the depths of a woman's world, placing them amidst many questions about women and the ego in general, and concludes by leaving them with open doors to complex questions about relationships between spouses, and between the self and the other.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
