The hero of this story only wished for a pencil and an eraser, but when he realized he possessed the power to draw and erase whatever he wanted, his simple wish transformed into a power in his hands, which he took far, far away. His decisions became hasty and his mistakes numerous, so how could he erase them?

A fantasy story with an important message: desires have limits, and power has dangers if not accompanied by responsibility and awareness. This book highlights the importance of a child acting with awareness when in a position of authority, and also focuses on the idea of bearing the consequences of mistakes and working to correct them.

Author: Charbel Kattan – Born in Maghdouche, South Lebanon, in 1970. Moved to the Republic of South Africa in 1990 where he pursued his higher studies at its university, earning a degree in Informatics. He lived and worked in Johannesburg before moving to the United Arab Emirates. Married with two children, his novel "Bags of Memory" was longlisted for the Arabic Booker Prize in 2011.
