"Nizar Qabbani wrote much of what the kingdom of poetry and language bestowed upon him and us, and he was loyal to himself, and to himself alone, in all that he wrote. He was a free, accomplished, and prolific poet in more than one field. On the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of his birth, we honor his memory by publishing three poetry collections of his selected poems, categorized by theme.
