Saad bin Muadh was a man just over thirty years old. His entire life under the shadow of Islam lasted six years. What could he have done in just six years to leave such a glorious impact on the structure of the Prophet’s biography, biographies, hadith texts, and noble virtues? And how? What were the things that these years made available to him so that when he died, the throne of the Most Gracious shook at his death?! This last one was one of the most difficult questions for me. We have not heard of this virtue for anyone before him, nor did it happen about anyone after him. If one of us is made easy for Allah and takes the path of guidance, despite being born to Muslim parents, he may need more than these six years to realize his path and his need, determine his compass and move on. Rather, one of us may frequent the mosques for many years while he is still searching for a plan to seek knowledge, or searching for his passion for a science to devote his effort to, or searching for a sheikh to complete the Quran with, or... etc. Six years made this brilliant man rule with the ruling of Allah Almighty from above seven heavens... How? Perhaps one of us needs to deal with a person for more than this period to strengthen their relationship, so that he becomes his companion and friend, whom he yearns for, is delighted to see, and celebrates his arrival and absence... So what could Saad have done in that period to strengthen his relationship and have the greatest creature yearn for him? Not on Earth... but the largest creature in the universe?!
