Commentary on the Square Garden

This commentary, written by His Eminence the Sheikh, includes the text (Zad al-Mustaqni’) and its explanation (al-Rawd al-Murabba’) by the scholar al-Bahuti (d. 1051 AH), and the marginal notes on (al-Rawd al-Murabba’) attributed to Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Anqari (d. 1373 AH). His Eminence began writing his commentaries on 3/11/1372 AH, and their time periods varied, some being recent and some ancient. He added to them, amended them, and removed some of them, so what is before the honorable reader in this book is the last of what His Eminence - may God Almighty have mercy on him - included in his edited commentaries. He - may God Almighty have mercy on him - also took care to comment on the doubtful issues in the book (al-Rawd al-Murabba’) that needed to be clarified. He began editing them in his own handwriting from (the chapter on choice), so that he would be able to comment on what came before, but he did not complete it, and it was attached separately at the end of the second volume.
