This is a commentary on Umdat al-Ahkam by Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin, which is a commentary on the book Umdat al-Ahkam, a collection of the words of the best of mankind (peace and blessings be upon him), by the Imam and scholar Abu Muhammad Abd al-Ghani ibn Abd al-Wahid al-Maqdisi al-Hanbali, who died in 600 AH (may God have mercy on him, grant him His pleasure, and admit him to His spacious Paradise). The basis of this book is the recorded lectures given by the author in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, as well as during summer breaks in the cities of Riyadh and Unayzah, from which he recorded some chapters of the text. The Sheikh also has another commentary on Umdat al-Ahkam, published under the title Natbih al-Afham bi Sharh Umdat al-Ahkam, which is different from the commentary we have before us.
