Dr. Ismail Raji Al-Farouqi
One of the world's most renowned experts on comparative religion and the study of Islam, he was born in Palestine and earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from Indiana University in the United States. He taught at the Central Institute for Islamic Research in Pakistan and at Temple University, the University of Chicago, the University of Syracuse in the United States, and McGill University in Canada.
