Everyone who has been honored by Allah to perform Hajj or Umrah during the last decades has returned having seen and witnessed types of behavior and conduct among some pilgrims and Umrah performers that are not befitting of a Muslim who believes that honoring the rituals is part of the piety of the heart, and that it helps in renewing the covenant with Allah Almighty, and that it purifies the soul from its impurities and harms, and stirs its hidden Islamic emotions towards greater awareness of Allah Almighty’s greatness and a sense of humility before Him. However, it has been noted, unfortunately, that there is great ignorance of the rulings and etiquette of Hajj among many groups of Muslims, which has led to great harm among pilgrims and has presented an image that is not befitting of this great nation. Therefore, the author has striven hard through this atlas to familiarize this generation with the nature of the names in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the holy sites from the legal, historical, linguistic and geographical perspectives, while linking them to the text, map and image in the jurisprudential section so that the pilgrim or Umrah performer can perform this great ritual with an authentic cultural background.
