It is time for us to bring Omar bin Al-Khattab out of the category of biography books on library shelves, and into our daily journey... into our lives... It is time for us to bring Omar bin Al-Khattab’s understanding of the Quran and the Sunnah from history books to practical application... Omar’s understanding of the Quran and Sunnah, in a very critical stage of Islamic history, is what extended this history horizontally and vertically, horizontally in the conquests of countries, vertically in the horizons of justice, construction and progress... We cannot claim that this Omari understanding is the only correct understanding of the Quran and Sunnah... But we claim that this understanding, which contributed to the creation of Islamic civilization, is what we need today specifically, among all the understandings that might be appropriate in other historical stages... Today, at this low point we have reached, in our aspiration to emerge from it, we need Omar’s understanding, Omar’s head, Omar’s vision, to emerge from what we are in towards a rising future... towards doing what we were created for... We need Omar’s understanding specifically, at this stage, in order to be what we should be... This is not a book on biography or History...it is a book on the journey, towards the future
