It was not strange for me, an Arab Muslim, to write such a thing, as the Arabs’ relationship with the lands beyond the river is deeply rooted in Islamic civilization since its beginnings, when the Arab mujahid battalions carried the message to the worlds and the Muslims conquered the lands beyond the river and began to settle in the countries they conquered and spread the teachings of their religion in them. The tolerant Islamic faith soon began to grow in their souls in a gradual increase, until those countries became part of the Islamic countries. The honorable reader should know that the lands beyond the river (Uzbekistan and Tajikistan) are rich in their past, great in their history throughout their different eras and countries, and have a history full of positions of greatness and splendor that peoples and nations are proud of, witnessed by the great edifices that still stand in Bukhara, Samarkand, Khwarazm and others, as well as the names of their scholars, writers and philosophers, who continue to illuminate the path of humanity with their knowledge and literature as the sun illuminates the earth.
