One wish

Having the ability to see fairies means that Tanya Fairchild's life has never been easy. After all, real fairies aren't like the ones in books; the ones who grant wishes or leave money in exchange for teeth. Real fairies don't like to be talked about and resort to spells if Tanya oversteps her bounds. The most she's ever gotten in exchange for one of her teeth is a chewy sweet. Of course, it would be helpful if Tanya knew someone—anyone—who could see them too... When Tanya meets Ratty, she discovers not only that he can see fairies, but that he has a fairy friend, Turpin.
