In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

Praise be to God, who has opened our hearts to guidance to Islam and has enabled us to gain a deep understanding of the religion and the wonderful and definitive rulings He has legislated. I praise Him for His abundant blessings and thank Him for teaching by the pen. He taught man what he did not know. So, he perfected and perfected any perfection. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, the Possessor of Majesty and Honor. I bear witness that our Master and Prophet Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, sent as a mercy to mankind, and the guide to the straight path and the clarification of what is lawful and what is unlawful. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him and upon his noble family and companions, eternal prayers and peace, without any deficiency or breach.

Now then:

Indeed, the most noble of sciences, the most honorable, the most virtuous, and the most successful means is the knowledge of the Noble Shari'ah, understanding its rulings, and being informed of the secret of what is lawful and what is unlawful in it. Therefore, it is necessary to aid its seeker and facilitate its sources for its seeker.

When I saw this delicate and precious commentary entitled “Al-Rawd Al-Murbi’ Sharh Zad Al-Mustaqni’,” which is the focus of attention of scholars, jurists, and students in our country and beyond, and it is truly worthy of it, as it contains most of the important matters and fulfills the desires of students in a well-crafted, concise, and precise expression, with attention to mentioning evidence, reasoning, and stories. Consensus, attention to restricting what is stated generally, detailing what is stated generally, branching out and deriving from what is established, clarifying what the additions contradict the school of thought, and other virtues and advantages. This is no surprise, as its author is an expert in the school of thought and an editor, and later scholars rely on him to clarify and establish the school's issues. I say: When I saw him in this position and status, my soul yearned to work to serve him in a manner befitting him. So I rolled up my sleeves and worked hard, seeking God’s help to achieve my goal, and desiring His acceptance and benefit.
