How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories

A faerie prince, raised and fed on cat's milk and disdain, born into a family burdened with heirs and a heartbreaking little prophecy hanging over his head – from the hour of Prince Cardan's birth, he was sometimes loved, sometimes scorned. Perhaps it's not surprising he became the person he did; the only surprise is that he managed to become the High King of Elfhame, nonetheless. Some might think him a formidable person, and he might harm those who cross his path, but he remains full of life, a source of attraction for everyone around him, in all circumstances. Sometimes you can plead with him; asking for a difference of opinion, or opposing what he says. The important thing is that as long as you plead, your opposition will not provoke his anger at all.
