If you picked up this book expecting to read about the rich or the famous, you will be disappointed. Quite frankly, I’ve had my fill of celebrity culture and the adulation and deference shown to its proprietors. I’m not inclined to participate in that narcissism. Instead, the individuals I’ve included here are not particularly famous, they don’t have large social media followings, you won’t see them on the evening news or on the silver screen, and crowds don’t chant their names. Their worth is not measured in material successes, individual wealth, global attention, or public accolades. While I learned a great deal about these people, I didn’t ask them their religion or who they would vote for in the next election. I wasn’t interested in comparing their stories, each one existing in its own unique time and space. Nor did I care about race, gender, or whether I agreed with them on a particular social issue. If I had, I would have constrained them into narrow bounds, when they have so much more to offer us. The lessons from these lives are deeper and greater, their examples enriching, helpful, and necessary in a world that sometimes loses its way. To move past this age of animosity and polarization, we will need to plant ladders of hope on different walls, making room for the heroism of these human lighthouses.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply send Email or contact us via WhatsApp number. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
