Your Superpower

Yes, you own that power, regardless of your beliefs. You choose the shoe, the car, the radio station, the movie house, the vacation, the life partner. You own that power. Nothing outside yourself made you make the decision you did. You did it, because you made that choice. You made that choice because you wanted to. And if the choice was a poor one, then, of course, we want to blame something or someone. So, some people will say, "It was complicated." But was it? You are probably aware of the saying: "God helps those who help themselves." No matter what you believe, the Creator gives every man and woman the right to help themselves... or in other words, the right to choose. Henry Drummond in his book tells the story of a little boy who was very sick, and the boy was dying. The parents were terribly grieved, but there was nothing the doctors could do. One day, an old clergyman came into the home and noticed how depressed his parents were, and he asked them why they were so unhappy; he was told that their little boy was very sick and they expected him to die. The clergyman asked where the boy was and was told which bedroom to go to. The old clergyman went into the bedroom, laid his hand on the little boy's head and said to him, "My boy, the Creator loves you, don't you know that?", and left the room, then left the home a short time later. After he left, the little boy who had been sick sprang out of bed, and ran all around the house shouting, "The Creator loves me... The Creator loves me." He was no longer sick, but a healthy, strong, and well boy.
