If you believe it’s possible to craft a specific life and work of one’s choosing, then you are in the right place. To achieve this, you must do and limit yourself to just trying. Everyone "tries" to do something, right? Broke people "try" to save money, busy parents "try" to spend more time with their children, and dissatisfied employees "try" to start their own businesses. Understand this well: "Trying" is nonsense. "Trying" is a word used by underachievers looking for praise for something they also didn't do. The phrase: "I'll try to come" means: "I'm not coming, but instead of saying 'no,' I'll try to 'avoid' hurting your feelings." The phrase: "I'll try to finish your project" means: "I'm lazy and won't work on any of this, but I'm afraid you'll yell at me; so I'll lie instead." This book doesn't tell you: "Try to do better work." Instead, it says: "Do better work." And that is intentional.
