Choosing "The Answer" is your first step on paths you might have never considered before, perhaps even unaware of their existence. By the time you reach the middle of the book, you'll understand why you are where you are and why you possess what you do at this stage of your life. You will find the answers that will help you achieve whatever you are capable of. In "The Answer," we will show you how to decide what you truly want from life and how to get it. You will learn how to prioritize your thoughts, reclaim your life, overcome obstacles, and avoid manipulation by others, especially friends and family. We will help you choose your own path, not one someone else tries to push you toward. We will show you how to take control of your life and become the person you wish to be. You will discover how to handle any circumstances that arise, no matter how difficult, confusing, or hopeless they may initially seem. You will learn how to move from where you are now to where you want to be. We will present proven principles of success that men and women throughout history have used to achieve greatness and recover from or overcome failure. Barbara and I have learned many of these principles directly from experts over the past fifty years, and these lessons are the primary catalyst for our personal successes. We will also explain some new brain studies that clarify why some people achieve immense success while others do not. We will examine a brain mechanism that you can program to take you anywhere you want to go. Beginning with Giuseppe Moruzzi and H.W. Magoun, scientists discovered a part of the brain that guides and determines the level of success or failure each of us achieves in life. We will discuss this brain mechanism in Chapter 1, and the benefits derived from its use will form the foundation for everything we cover throughout the book. We will also answer your questions about anything you may have read or heard before regarding goal setting, visualization, affirmations, prayer, primordial thought, and the law of attraction. With so much information throughout the book, we encourage you to set it aside to reflect on and apply what has been said. We have identified points where you should do this, indicated by the symbol 87906.jpg. There is no need to adhere strictly to this; it is merely a guide. We will discuss simple yet powerful skills we have learned that help us deal with almost everything that happens in life, good or bad. And we will answer the big questions about how to get anything you want from life, despite what may sometimes seem like impossible circumstances. The concepts we will explore here have changed the lives of participants in our seminars, and they can change your life too. This book is called "The Answer" because that's what you will find inside. So, if life is a game, these are the rules. You will find many key points repeated in various forms throughout the book, and this is intentional. Studies have shown that the most effective learning occurs through spaced repetition of an idea by presenting it six consecutive times. The first time you hear or read a phrase, your mind may reject it because it might conflict with your preconceived notions. This is why most motivational training fails. When you hear the same idea six times, your mind can accept and absorb it. We have included some activities in each chapter and encourage you to write directly in the book for ease of use and as a reference point if you wish to return to the text. Finally, in case you are wondering, while both of us co-authored "The Answer," it is generally written in the first person as Allan, to make it easier to read.
