Consensus (Ijma') is an established right in the religion of God Almighty. It is a great principle of the religion, an important source of Islamic law, and a fundamental pillar derived from the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of His trustworthy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It also ranks second only to the rulings of the Quran in importance and status. However, many of the issues of consensus transmitted from scholars are open to scrutiny and require careful examination to determine the authenticity of the reported consensus, and to ascertain what is agreed upon as consensus and what is disputed. Therefore, it is necessary to re-examine these issues and study them scientifically. This book is a comprehensive work addressing these issues.
