Just as the windows of houses overlook each other and the stories and memories of neighbors rise through them, and just as these windows overlook the crossroads that preserve the laughter and conversations of passersby as if they were immortal legends that never perish, there are windows that overlook the heart and reveal its secrets and feelings, windows that overlook reality to expose it and shed light on its pains, and windows that overlook the soul and reveal what is within it of worries and sorrows.

Perhaps a single window is enough to foster connection, or it might create discord. A single window can bring a smile and joy, or revive a memory long forgotten. For windows overlook our inner selves as well as the outside world, as in the pages of this booklet. In the margins of these windows, there are words that depict feelings and their complexities, some that spring from the heart of reality, and some that express what is in my soul or yours.
