The Devil's Deception

In this book, Ibn al-Jawzi attempts to expose the deviations of many people due to their distance from the guidance of the prophets and their ignorance of religion. He examines the misleading innovations, foreign ideas, and deviant behaviors prevalent in his time (which resemble our current reality) in order to warn people against them. The book is important for attaining true knowledge, reform, the straight path, and beliefs free from doubt and illusory imaginings. Ibn al-Jawzi attributes most of the reasons for the spread of misguidance in the world and the infiltration of these ignorances into people's souls to Satan, his deception, and his trickery. He clarifies the doubts with which Satan misleads various groups of people through research, investigation, and critical analysis, revealing the correct and incorrect aspects of matters based on textual and rational evidence, as well as examples that resonate with both the senses and the conscience.
There are several efforts to verify and revise this book, removing unreliable chains of transmission and inaccurate stories.
