Explanation of the principles of jurisprudence and the chapters’ points of view

Author's name: Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen

presentation

All praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own souls and the wickedness of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whomsoever He misguides, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Allah sent him with guidance and the true religion. He conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, advised the Ummah, and strove in Allah’s cause with the striving due to Him until certainty came to him. May the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, his family, his companions, and those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment. Now then:

It was among the directives of His Eminence, the scholar, our father, Sheikh Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Uthaymeen - may God have mercy on him - to his students that they should pay attention to studying the principles of jurisprudence, as it is the correct path to the method of reasoning, the ability to deduce, the precision of looking into issues, and referring details to

The faculties, and referring them to their sources from the Qur’an, the Sunnah, consensus, and analogy. Among the books that His Eminence, may God have mercy on him, chose in this art is the book: (The Principles of Fundamentals and the Foundations of Chapters) by the scholar Safi al-Din Abdul-Mumin ibn Kamal al-Din Abdul-Haqq ibn Shama’il al-Baghdadi (may God cover him with His vast mercy and pleasure, and grant him a place in His spacious gardens).

Explanation of the principles of jurisprudence and the foundations of the chapters

This explanation was part of the academic courses he - may God Almighty have mercy on him - held during the summer vacations at his university in the city of Unayzah. This book's explanation concluded during the summer course held in 1420 AH, where he - may God Almighty have mercy on him - paused at the author's statement - may God Almighty have mercy on him - in the second chapter of the evidence: "Such as the prohibition of a free man marrying a female slave due to the reason of the child's enslavement."

In order to spread the benefit, and in implementation of the rules, regulations, and directives that our Sheikh - may God Almighty have mercy on him - established for publishing his scholarly heritage, this explanation has been prepared, with the help and blessing of God Almighty, and has been made ready for printing and publication.

We ask Allah Almighty to make this work sincerely for His noble sake, beneficial to His servants, and to reward our esteemed Sheikh with the best reward on behalf of Islam and Muslims, to multiply his repentance and reward, and to elevate his status among the rightly guided. Indeed, He is All-Hearing, All-Near, and All-Loving.

May God bless and grant peace and blessings upon His servant and messenger, the Seal of the Prophets and the leader of the righteous.

And the master of the first and the last, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions and those who follow them in goodness

Until the Day of Judgment.
