This writing opens up to more than one truth, perhaps the first of which is that narrative writing must rebel against familiar drama, break through the familiar narrative fabric, and allow raw reality to speak, as it is the only window through which literature must emerge. However, the writing here is essentially acrobatic. As much as it immerses itself in the reality of Paris, the capital of enlightenment, it disappears into the modern cultural aristocratic bourgeoisie, exposing it as a disgusting hotbed of rot, essentially a collection of exhausted human ruins, rusted and damaged. Therefore, it is necessary to walk a fine tightrope, with the risk of falling—that moral fall that portends the destruction of the world through the abandonment of the most fundamental human principles.
The novel "The Acrobats" is a moral novel, but it expands the meaning of Zola's words, which he said a century ago: "I accuse", to include the whole world, not just France.
