The topic of learning Tajweed and reciting the Holy Quran is of paramount importance, as evidenced by the Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings be upon him) concise and comprehensive saying: “The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” This virtue is not limited to those studying Islamic sciences; anyone from any field can attain this great blessing. Since most readers of this blog are not specialists in Islamic sciences, I advise them not to miss out on the opportunity to be among the best of people. Their specialization in computer science and programming should not prevent them from combining it with the virtue of learning and teaching the Quran. At the very least, one of us can teach it to our children after mastering it.
