Ibrahim Nasser You close your eyes and hear the sound of them closing and darkness appears before you, endless. Slowly, faces appear before you from afar, appearing as white dots imprinted on the black darkness around you, then they slowly begin to approach, and the dots expand before your eyes to form faces you recognize. A smile forms on your lips and your heart begins to beat faster. A strange warmth begins to spread throughout your body, and you feel the heat creeping between your flesh and bones. Your breath quickens as your heartbeat quickens, your chest rising and falling rapidly, desiring the air to reach your cold lungs quickly. The heat increases beneath your flesh, and the sound of burning flesh and melting fat rings in your ears as if it were on blazing embers. Moments later, the scent of demons wafts into your nostrils. You squeeze your eyelids and tighten them so that the faces are imprinted on the dark canvas before your eyes, their features appearing more clearly. You raise your hands along their length, trying to reach these faces with your fingertips, to feel their warmth, to touch nothingness. The words choke in your throat and you feel your flesh burning. How horrible is the smell of burning human flesh and the sound of crackling bones roasted by the flames of longing!
