This book compiles one hundred television moments, the most important and famous moments of Lebanese television over three decades... from its establishment in 1959, the early experiments of the 1960s, the golden age of television, the war that followed... up to 1989 and the birth of the Second Republic. These are not merely scattered snapshots from a dusty archive... but rather milestones that shaped the popular culture of a nation and its people, a collective memory that built a dream they called Lebanon, only to shatter it in a small area, and I chose the living room of every home. The moments in this book encapsulate the dreams and disappointments of three generations of Lebanese. It recounts them as the small screen itself speaks. Some are present within us, and some have been lost and forgotten... or like us. Nothing is lost in the treasure chest of memory... the preserved and the sudden impression, in a single moment, as we suggest.
