Disassembled
In a future world, dark times preceded the Second American Civil War. Standards of right and wrong were turned upside down. The nation was divided into two camps: one anti-choice and the other pro-choice. The two views became two armies bent on destroying each other. To end the war, a horrific solution was adopted: the "Bill of Life." The Bill of Life stipulated that human life was forbidden from the moment of conception until the age of thirteen. However, between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, parents had the right to have their children subjected to "cannibalization," where their organs were harvested for transplantation into various recipients. Thus, the children were "aborted" retroactively, but their lives did not "theoretically" end.
Connor is a boy whose parents took drastic action to correct his troubled behavior. Risa was raised in an asylum whose administrators deemed her a failure to prove herself worthy of life. Lev was vowed by his religious family to be excommunicated when he turned thirteen. Their paths cross, and together, the three teens do their best to stand firm on their principles and survive in a horrific world.
