The Seleucids and their role in Hellenistic civilization

Highlighting the role played by the Seleucid state in spreading the Hellenistic civilization in the East, through the construction of cities, as it was the only state that was influenced by its leader and chief (Alexander the Great), and his soldiers were the most loving of their civilization and the most eager to spread it throughout the Near East, so they followed in his footsteps, such as religious tolerance with the people of the countries they conquered, and married their women, and most importantly, they built cities that played a fundamental role in spreading the Hellenistic civilization. These cities were built in the style of Greek cities, and their inhabitants were a mixture of Easterners, Greeks, and Macedonians, and this mixing was a characteristic of that era.
