The Holy Qur’an with the Ottoman script

The calligrapher Adham Fadi Al-Jaafari had the honor of drawing and writing it in accordance with the Ottoman script, which is consistent with what was written in the copies of the Qur’an of our master Uthman ibn Affan, may God be pleased with him, which he sent to the Ansar. It is consistent with what was written in the presence of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and what the noble companions wrote before his eyes.

There were many features that distinguished the writing of this Qur’an, including but not limited to:

1 - Facilitating reading for the reader, choosing the most beautiful and simplest letter shapes in Naskh script, and placing the vowels in their exact place so that the reader can read the Holy Qur’an with ease and simplicity.
2- Clarity in writing and ease of reading by applying several rules, including:
A) Extend the letters completely and do not combine them so that the formation of each letter above it is complete.
b) Place the letter diacritics close to the letter.
C) Adopting the clearest form of each letter: for example, the open meem in all its cases instead of the closed one, and the ha (horse’s ear + knotted one), always in the middle of the word, and so on.
d) Adopting new rules for composing lines, where letters were arranged in a single order, words were spaced carefully apart from each other, and conjunctions and negations were linked to the word that follows them.
3- Place the verse numbers next to the verse, so that no verse number comes at the beginning of the line.
4- Magnify the word of majesty (Allah) and make it larger than the other words, to magnify the name of God Almighty.
