Chaos reigned all around us, and I, Mrs. Ghufran, the doctor, and the few who hadn't abandoned the Lady's School became outcasts in Wadi al-Nisaly. Everything suddenly collapsed, and the valley returned to what it had been years before, or even worse. Instead of a third victory, which we had hoped to achieve over the Ashraf Jartin on the last Yom Kippur, we were dealt the final blow.
