This beautiful collection of poetry expresses raw emotion that speaks to the deepest part of us. Written in an authentic voice, “On Loss: A Daughter’s Journey Through Grief” is a hopeful tribute to everyone who has loved deeply, lost greatly, and is struggling to make sense of it all. She grew up and currently resides in Dubai. After completing a BA in Political Science in London, she returned to Dubai in 1999 and entered the corporate world at the age of 19, beginning a 15-year career in human capital. In 2000, she took some time off from work to pursue a postgraduate degree at the University of Exeter, UK. The author left her established and successful career in 2015 to pursue her lifelong passion for world travel. She embarked on an expansive and inspiring solo journey of exploration, adventure, and spirituality. She hiked long distances through Spain and covered the entire French route on the Camino de Santiago, among other pilgrimage routes. She walked rugged mountain trails in Europe, rode horses in the wilderness, and spent a lot of time in nature to reflect and write. The author also traveled for months throughout much of South America, exploring remote and bucket-list destinations and experiencing local and Latin American cultures. She spent some of her time there volunteering at a private reserve in Minas Gerais, Brazil, immersing herself in sustainability initiatives, environmental conservation, and local communities. The author returned to Dubai in 2018 to further establish herself as a writer and poet.
