Cowboys, magic, and murder. Roger Anderson is a member of the most notorious gang in the West. As he grows increasingly weary and struggling with his life as an outlaw, he is confronted with the death of his sister, likely murdered by another member of the gang he dedicated his life to. To unravel this mystery, he is tasked with studying magic and confronting forces from worlds far beyond his reach. As everything around him crumbles, Roger is driven deeper and deeper to explore ideas lingering in the depths of his mind. What does it mean to be righteous? What does it mean to be free? What does it mean to have a purpose? His friends and family must aid him in his quest. Antonio Rodriguez, his best friend: shy, insecure, and would never sting a fly. Leroy Anderson, his adoptive brother: known as the King of the West to the rest of the world. He is tough and calm, but monotonous and never shows his feelings to anyone. Faisal, an older, wiser member of the gang, does his best to solve the case, but his temper can sometimes get in the way. Anne Clarence, a stubborn bounty hunter, doesn't seem to care about anything. She gets things done and helps out however she can. Then there are thirteen other members of Anderson's gang, but unfortunately, he can no longer trust any of them.
