One of the oldest Arabic sources written about the history of the Ottoman Empire in 1883 AD, shortly before its fall, is a book whose first part is dedicated to the history of the city of Constantinople. The author introduces it before the rule of the Ottoman sultans and the empires that successively ruled it until it came under Ottoman rule. The importance of the book lies in the importance of this empire, which extended for more than six centuries, ruling in the East and West and controlling most of the Islamic world. The author divided his book into three parts:
Part One: On the History of Constantinople.
Part Two: A Table of the Ottoman Sultans.
Part Three: Historical Prose Benefits, Digressive Matters, Incidents, and Inventive Arts.
