Whoever looks back at the history of humanity will see the succession of religion and philosophy in performing this task in many kingdoms. The significance of this from the educational point of view is that human life must have universal beliefs, moral principles, and general human systems, and that it is the duty of every people to make all these principles, in their religious or philosophical form, an essential part of the culture of its people so that they do not live in mental confusion, error, or chaos in their practical lives and their political and social systems.
