The book Al-Muwafaqat fi Bayan Maqasid Al-Quran Wa Al-Sunnah Wa Al-Hikam Wa Al-Maslaha Bent Ahadith Wa Al-Eqtisadiah Wa Al-Eqtisadiah Wa Al-Eqtisadiah Wa Al-Eqtisadiah Bi Asrar Al-Takwil Fi Al-Shari’ah, written by Al-Hafiz Ibrahim bin Musa Al-Shatibi (d. 790 AH/1388 AD). Ibrahim bin Musa Al-Shatibi chose a name for the book other than Al-Muwafaqat, which is Al-Eqtisadiah Bi Asrar Al-Taklif, but he changed it to Al-Muwafaqat. This was due to a vision of one of his sheikhs when the sheikh said to Imam Al-Shatibi, “I saw you last night in a dream and in your hand is a book that you wrote, so I asked you about it and you told me that it was Al-Muwafaqat. I asked you about the meaning of this charming name and you told me that you reconciled with it the schools of thought of Ibn Al-Qasim and Abu Hanifa.”
Ibrahim bin Musa Al-Shatibi included in his book many secrets of religious obligations related to the Sharia. He divided his book into five sections:
The scientific introductions needed to prepare the intended subject.
In the provisions and what is related to them in terms of their conception and the ruling on them or upon them.
On the legal objectives of Sharia and the provisions related to it.
In limiting the legal evidence and explaining what is added to it in general.
On the rulings of ijtihad and taqlid, and those who are characterized by each of them, and what is related to that of conflict, preference, question and answer.
