Abu Omar classified this book on Al-Muwatta after the book “Al-Tamhid”, and he added to it the explanation of the Musnad and the Mursal the explanation of the sayings of the Companions and the Followers as well, and he arranged it according to the chapters of Al-Muwatta and removed from it the repetition of the evidence and the paths, and he explained the saying of Malik and what he built on it from the sayings of the people of Medina, as well as every saying that he mentioned for the rest of the jurists of the cities, until the book came comprehensive on the condition of brevity and conciseness, and he made this book on the narration of Yahya bin Yahya, and he did not separate in it a talk on the virtues of Malik, being satisfied with what he mentioned in full in Al-Tamhid.
