He dedicates a special section to this topic, which he calls "Maqasid" (objectives). Maqasid is a recognized theory of Islamic jurisprudence among scholars of jurisprudence and legal theory. Al-Shatibi, the author of "Al-Muwafaqat," is considered the first to discuss and establish this theory.
