Ibn Musahar al-Mawsili is a poet of the 5th and 6th centuries AH. He was a gifted poet and a creative writer who praised the caliphs, kings, and the innocent. He had a two-volume poetry collection that was lost to the Arab heritage until a verified collection of what remained of it was extracted from its various forms of poetry. This study presented a literary analysis of one artistic aspect of this poetic production, namely the color image, with the aim of opening the door to other subsequent studies on different aspects of Ibn Musahar's poetry. It also explores some of the visual perspective in his poetry, his ability to express psychological feelings, his poetic purposes, and the nature of the era in which he lived, through analyzing the color image in his poetry.
