Ali ibn Jabalah ibn Abdullah al-Abnawi, known as Abu al-Hasan, and nicknamed al-Akkouk. It is said that al-Asma'i was the one who gave him the nickname (Akkouk), which means short and fat, as al-Asma'i was envious of him.
