The Diwan of Al-Najashi Al-Harithi is an important reference for the poetry of Qais ibn Amr, known as Al-Najashi, a veteran poet who lived during the pre-Islamic and Islamic eras. He was famous for his talent for satire, surpassing many poets such as Hassan ibn Thabit and Tamim ibn Ubayy. Although little of his poetry has been preserved due to the harshness of time, this collection presents what remains of his distinguished poems, clarifying their meanings and contexts and explaining difficult terms. The editor worked to compile as much of Al-Najashi's poetry as he could, which helps in better studying his poetry and sheds light on his artistic ability.
