In this book, the researcher has collected the poetry of Yazid ibn Muawiyah, both those that were composed and those attributed to him, attaching that to a biography of the Caliph Yazid, the second Umayyad Caliph. In it, the researcher talked about his lineage, his father's preference for him, his qualities, what was stated in the pledge of allegiance to him, and his personality as a Caliph. Then he discussed the seditions that were averted during his reign, starting with the killing of Hussein, then the Battle of Harrah, the siege of Mecca, and the management of the Kaaba. The researcher followed that with the poetry collection of Yazid, and then included what was related to his poetry collection and what was attributed to him and others, attaching that to a biography of Yazid as it appears in some books of literature and biographies.
