The Muqrin and the Sea Trilogy

This book is a trilogy (three novels in one book) with interconnected events, and some of its main characters transitioning between the novels. It is an autobiographical novel, but it chronicles life events that are not solely related to the author's biography. Rather, it extends fundamentally to the environment in which the author lived and grew up, and transitions between them. The novel focuses on folklore, customs, and social practices, deliberately documenting these customs and preventing them from being forgotten by new generations in Sudanese and Alexandrian-Egyptian societies, in which the novels' events take place. The author attempts to provide the non-Arab reader, distant from the Sudanese and Arab environments, with an understanding of these Sudanese and Arab customs and traditions. The author pours his life into the three novels, and insistently highlights the human aspects of this life. Therefore, he sets the novel's trilemma as: poverty, love, and ambition. The novels' events oscillate around this theme, saturating it within their lines. While we find the author very lucky in relation to love, we find that this luck collides with the dilemma of poverty, which spoils every opportunity in its cradle, and he always collides with the dilemma of ambition, so you find the author always sacrificing his love for his ambition, so the buds of his love always die in their cradle, and love also turns into a dilemma. This trilogy is based on real events that happened and includes the names of those who lived through them, but some of the names of the female element were omitted due to special circumstances, and some sensitive events were slightly modified
