I've always dreamed of a poetry scene in the Emirates. Not a fleeting stage, but an eternal book, carrying our written words and placing them in the hands of those who read them.
I write for myself, but I never imagined this book with just me. I wanted it to express a myriad of feelings, thoughts, and expressions. That's when I started looking for other poets to contribute to this book. I started with a small group on Twitter that included me, Zayed, and Aya, and then gradually expanded to seven poets. We collected our poems in the book you have before you now, "The Short Book."
