In short, this story has lived with me since my childhood. My mother - may God have mercy on her - used to tell it to me while I was sleeping in her lap and she was playing with my hair.
Yes.. I remember it very well despite the years until it became like a movie in my imagination, and I remember very well her answer to my questions in the story to the point that it was engraved in my memory, and I told it to all my grown children, and the idea of writing it did not occur to me until my daughter Alia came into my world, and I saw the extent of Her love and affection for this story made me decide at that moment to write the story and look for an artist to draw it for me. The artist and illustrator was Rufaida, and we worked hard, imagining the scenes to reflect the scenes engraved in my imagination from this story that has lived with me for nearly 45 years.
Because of my love for my daughter Alia and my son Faisal - who are my youngest children - I named my two work heroes after them.
I hope it will be an enjoyable story that everyone who reads or hears it will enjoy, and God willing, it will be turned into a movie and computer games.
I thank my wife and my children Dalia, Khaled, Abdul Aziz, and Abdul Malik.
