What does the word truth mean?
The truth: What a person must protect, and the truth of Oman’s history, is a duty upon me that I have fulfilled with all honesty.
Truth: the opposite of metaphor. The truth of a thing is its end and origin. Metaphor is the word transferred from its meaning to a meaning that accompanies it. Let us return to the truth of a thing.
Around 1,500 years BC, the people of Oman experienced dramatic changes. Large numbers of people entered the country from Al-Ahqaf, located between Al Mahrah and Salalah, a half-day's journey from Salalah. These people were the people of Ad, descended from Himyar, an ancient people from Yemen, who had a powerful state with its capital in Dhofar.
