From the heart of the place and into its soul, where cities and villages—from Amman to Ma'an, from Luweibdeh to Madaba—transform into vibrant characters, participating in the narrative, conveying nostalgia, and adorning the text with the scents of coffee and jasmine, the sounds of folklore, and the calls of ancient love.
Burjas does not narrate places, but rather summons them with the poet's sensibility and the eye of a Bedouin who has crossed from the desert to the city, leaving a trace of his heart on every path. Times blend in his language, and the narrative dissolves into poetry that does not announce itself but rather seeps between the lines.
In this work, place becomes memory, memory becomes language, and language becomes an image written with metaphor and pulse, where there is no difference between nostalgia and poetry, nor between the road and first love.
