Samir is a peaceful boy, and he deals with the neighborhood boys using his endearing Al-Ahsa dialect. Everyone understands what Samir says, and Samir understands the dialect of the South, the Hijaz, and the East.
Samir was known to use the phrase "Look, I don't want to fight with you," meaning that he would say to any boy of his age, or perhaps slightly older, who was addressing him: Look, I don't want to fight with you.
With his small eyes and thick lip, Samir watched, a trickle of saliva dripping from his mouth, sometimes from one side, and sometimes from both sides. This problem was one of the reasons that made the principal of the primary school hesitate to accept Samir into the year.
