Existential Thought in Ali Abu Al-Rish's Novels

It is notable that these scientific and written productions vary in depth, profoundness, styles, and formulations. Among those great pioneers, Professor Ali Abu Al-Rish stands out, having carved his path, steadily and innovatively, since his first novel, "The Confession," published in 1982, which won a place among the 100 best Arab novels and ranked 33rd at that time. We must take into account that this victory was for the very first novel conceived by his mind and the first novel to emerge from his intellect, making it a suitable choice. This is strong and clear evidence of creativity from its very beginnings. In my opinion, Professor Ali, in many of his writings and novels, draws from the reservoir of heritage, accompanies historical events, looks at the past with a positive outlook, addresses present issues, and casts his thoughts towards the future. Therefore, you find all these realms in his publications, many of which revolve around a profound philosophical thought that has enriched and influenced his intellectual output. Among the aesthetic qualities of the image in my friend Professor Ali's work is its occasional local character, while highlighting Arab features, the influence of ethics, and the manifestations of customs and traditions within the general framework of social upbringing. Drawing from the reservoir of heritage is, in itself, a kind of yearning or what is known as nostalgia for the past of ancestors and forefathers, but in its positive, creative, and renewed form.
