Show me the world through your eyes

The story of the novel is based on my life and my success in treating my son, Ahmed, from autism.

I chose the name "Show me the world through your eyes" to encourage parents and all people to see life from another angle, the angle of an autistic child who was born to live in his own world and finds it difficult to keep up with and understand our world. Most of the slogans called for taking the autistic child out of his world to integrate into ours, so I decided to change the situation and try to enter his world to explore the secrets of this universe surrounding him, so that we might discover the causes of this disease, its treatment, why and why? In this book, I talked about my war with this unknown disease, what obstacles and difficulties I faced, and the desperate attempts I went through with this disease; in order to treat my son Ahmed, and what successes I achieved . I mentioned in this book many of the methods I followed in treating my son, from doctors to clinics to schools to autism centers and many other things that I cannot mention here in these lines. May it be a motivation and incentive for everyone who is overwhelmed with despair and has lost hope and has surrendered to this disease, his heart and being torn apart just by seeing their child with this disease inhabiting his small body. Many attempts have failed and overwhelmed me with despair and obstacles that cut off my hope and shattered my dreams of not reaping any fruits or recovery. But with my determination and faith in God and His mercy that encompasses everything, I have saved my son from the clutches of the disease and put his foot on the first steps of recovery. I have not and will not surrender to this mysterious disease, nor to those words that still reach my ears that there is no cure for it. I explained in my story how I discovered the disease after Ahmed was a normal child who spoke and talked to me, and suddenly, without reason or prior warning, he lost his speech and no longer spoke to me. He did not even look at me or hear me and acted in strange ways that did not suggest that they came from a normal child. From here, the journey began to discover the reasons and why Ahmed’s behavior changed and why he lost his speech.

I mentioned the symptoms that parents might notice in their children if, God forbid, they notice some of these strange behaviors. I started my research and studies on this disease, and I mentioned the latest research findings in the world, and many opinions, reasons, and results that I collected from my various studies, in order to be of help to all mothers and fathers whose hearts are torn when they see their autistic child in front of them and they stand helpless in confronting him. Of course, some of them, not all of them, as there are those who struggled and fought like me or more, and there are those who were not helped by financial and other circumstances.

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, for He stood by me and inspired me with patience and strength, so that I could strive to treat Ahmed. He has improved a lot, and he is back to talking to me, looking at me, and listening to me. I have reaped the fruits of my labor.
