This book tells the story of the United Arab Emirates' success, a country that emerged from British rule in the early 1970s. Most of its people were illiterate, their homes were huts or mud houses, and there were no roads, bridges, or even a single university!

Through an ambitious vision and long-term plan, this country has been able to transform itself from a marginalized and weak nation into a scientifically, economically, and militarily advanced state. It has also been able to raise the average annual per capita income from $350 at the beginning of the union to more than $50,000, ranking first in the Arab world and fourth globally, according to the International Monetary Fund's 2013 estimates.

It's a mistake to attribute the UAE's success solely to the availability of oil. Many countries possess vast natural resources but have failed to advance, largely due to poor management.
With successful management, countries advance and achieve miracles, not only with natural resources.
