The novel "Fragments" is the novel of an Arab generation trying to patch together the fragments of history, homeland, and dreams, to reconstruct the picture so that life can be understood and lived.
It is the story of a 'symbol' boy named Imad, who tries to understand the situation of his father, Yazid, who rebelled against life in all its details. The boy took to assembling the remains of his father's photos and scraps that he saved from a fire when his father, in a fit of despair and revolt, decided, in a sweltering summer, to set fire to his memory.
From the pictures and scraps that the boy, Imad, saved, the events of the novel begin to approach what happened, as the pictures turn into a torrent of words that shed light on the past of a man, or a generation, to be more precise.
